What I do

I work with organisations to help them understand their communications needs, from developing an effective position in the external landscape to developing tactical plans for marketing, PR and other communications channels.


I have a wealth of experience at local and national level, having worked previously in organisations focussed on delivering communications that support the delivery of major reform programmes in the public sector.


I have an extensive network of fellow communicators, many of whom specialise in particular areas of tactical delivery like online communications, animation, press, and so on...this means I can move quickly when it comes to developing new communications products.


Why I do it

I’m passionate about communication, especially when it involves taking a set of high-level and complex concepts and making them hit home with different audiences.


I’m motivated by working with people to achieve outcomes that benefit other people.


My approach

I believe that to some extent at least, work should be fun, especially when it comes to communications...enthusiasm, positivity, honesty all come through loud and clear in communications that are written by people who enjoy their jobs. The opposite is also true.


To that end, my approach to work seeks to bring in as many people as possible to the communications process...whether it’s through formal conversations with Directors or senior stakeholders, workshops with Board members, informal conversations and observations in the office, or creative sessions in an inspirational venue.


Creativity and innovation are fundamental to what I do, and I keep on top of current and future communications practices to ensure I’m up to date.
